I have a question. How do you come up with the insides? I mean, coming up with a general shape, and how it should look, I can get. But how do you decide how, say, that exposed hip joint goes together? How do you do it? I mean, do you do a lot of engineering stuff, and just have a really good idea of how things work? How do you design these? Cause, let me tell you, they rock hardcore.
i got inspired by the monster robot from robocop 2 loved all about it ever since the movie came out, loved how it looked "real" and stuff, maybe that's how i developt a style of creating realistic mechs back then.
Damn man, excellent work. I love the arms and the shins and the feet. Thighs don't work very well for me though. Lacks solidity. I think a simpler shape would give it more definition. But hey, you've already gone this far, and the thigh thing isn't much of a problem. Everything else is superb. Great job!
I want to make a 3d model of that. :3 any chance you could post orthographic views?
i could help you man, but are u sure u can really model this!!.. cos if ure really serious about this i could help u with some sketches, it would be so kewl to see this in 3d. i gotta warn u i dont think it would be very accurate, u gotta use ure imagination a bit.. get what i mean?
I'm quite serious. haha! this would be very good practice. I'll do my best, but no guarantees, k? I might stop halfway and get bored. (i'm really like that) and it'll take a lot of time, but i'll keep you posted and stuff. Would that be okay?
Missed it mainly because I have been so crazy busy that I haven't been able to keep up with Deviant in the last several months. it's why I haven't posted all too much, all the work was under NDA. So I missed your posting this. It rocks so I had to comment and fav
Oh that's an other tapletop game like Warhammer 40k maded in Britan, anyway, check out for some pics on yahoo.com or google.com, maybe you got new inspirations, and if you like mor larger mechs so check also for Warmachine on the web.
